Robert Ingram Kidd

1969

Robert Ingram Kidd, 76, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on June 24, 2026 at home from complications of kidney disease.

Born in Orange, New Jersey on March 28, 1950, to John and Kathleen (Colt) Kidd, Bob was the second of three boys. He grew up in East Orange, New Jersey and attended high school at Greenbriar Military School in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Following graduation in 1969, Bob attended traditional college and then earned a degree in Commercial Photography from The Germain School of Photography in New York City, going on to work as a commercial photographer for Mattel Toys.

In 1976, Bob decided to leave the East Coast and photography behind, moving West to Denver, Colorado. Bob started his career in sales in Colorado and worked for companies like ABDick, Xpedx (Dixon) Paper, and Bowman among others. While working at Dixon Paper, Bob met Anne Norman and on December 31, 1992, the two said "I do" in an intimate ceremony in Anne's parent's living room. In 2016, Bob and Anne decided to retire and make Mountain Home, Arkansas their home.

Bob was definitely not "all work and no play" and enjoyed many hobbies over the years including fishing, woodworking, photography, video games and genealogy research. He was particularly fond of shooting sports like trap, skeet and sporting clays as well as cowboy and pistol shooting and was very good at all of them. He also loved to ride motorcycles, riding off-road trails in New Jersey and in the Colorado mountains in his younger years and touring the roads on various BMW and Harley Davidson motorcycles and even a Vespa later in life. Bob had a quirky sense of humor and loved a good joke; hearing them and telling them. He was a tenacious foodie and an amazing cook and loved to make good food for his family and friends. He loved many kinds of music and loved to play his guitars and harmonicas.

Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anne Kidd of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his brother, Tom Kidd of Randolph, Massachusetts; his sons Drew Kidd and John Kidd, four grandchildren Christopher, Cheyenne, Corey and Alyssa; and one great-grandchild Oakleigh, all of Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother John; and a great-grandchild.

At Bob's request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. A private burial of his ashes will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob's name to your favorite veterans' organization, local humane society or local food bank.
