Carey Lawrence Payne, 69, left us on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at McLeod Seacoast in Little River, SC. Carey was born November 25, 2017 to James R. Payne and Mary Louise in Silver Springs, MD.

Carey graduated from Greenbrier Military School in Lewisburg, WV in 1967 as a 2nd Lt. Carey then went on and joined the Army for a few years.

He was an entrepreneur in many areas. He and his spouse, Jay Eagle, owned several businesses including Wine Shops in Cary, NC. The latest was a flooring and cabinetry store in north Myrtle Beach.

He is preceded in death by his spouse, Jay A. Eagle and a son, Edward R. Carrillo. He will be greatly missed by three daughters, Cindy C. Johnson, Sheila D. Carrillo and Janice Kay Roberts; Son, Paul H. Carrillo, two sisters, Deborah L. Sloan and Karen Drennan; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
